Probably won't do it until the spring though. Durability I won't worry about. You'd use less than a tenth of a clay block for a car. I still have a block of mine. I don't recommend clay baring a car as maintenance ad it can put some damage on the paint. It's best to clay bar if your going to do some paint correction

First they closed our local branch but said they would maintain the cash machine which was there (they haven't), and now this. Doubly annoying as I like to support our local sub-PO as much as possible, and it feels a lot safer taking cash out there than at an outside cashpoint with some ***** lurking behind you. Time to consider another bank I think. I do like reading this morning that Barclays have done a u-turn on this after getting heavily criticised by the public, their own customers, the Government, Parliamentary Select Committee, MPs in general - well, everybody really! Talk about shooting yourself in the foot!😀

Impressive result, but I don't think it's so surprising, with 25 odd years of progress. The Escort only has about 27 hp more, is a fair bit heavier and suffers a lot of turbo lag according to Tiff, which I can well believe thinking back to early turbos. Perhaps in wet conditions, the 4wd on the Escort might have narrowed the gap somewhat.

Shipping Compared to LaptopsDirect price €340.97 ex. Shipping More Recently now; I've been on the market for a desktop computer because our eldest is now in secondary school and requires a computer to practice at home aswell as complete some homework, I haven't had a laptop or desktop in over ten years now as I've thankfully been in long term stable employment I didn't need to create a CV and I use my smartphone for everything I need to do online, I'll try to condense this story as much as possible here 😅 I shopped around localy and found alot of all-in-one screens and personally I prefer the old style type tower with separate screen and keyboard rather than the tower being built in to the screen as in the event the screen was ever to accidentally get damaged then its all useless, I also wanted a system which would last a few years before becoming old stock; overall then I chose to purchase a Dell XPS 8930 tower with separate screen and keyboard, I'm quite a loyal online shopper and had intended on purchasing all of the items directly from Dell as one would surely assume the cheapest place would be from them directly with an overall discount 🤷♂️ stay tuned. I then searched Google with the specific model number of the chosen Dell tower, Monitor, wireless keyboard mouse and sound bar, The premium wireless keyboard&mouse didn't come up any cheaper anywhere else and the particular XPS 8930 tower isint available anywhere else with the chosen spec so they got there opportunity to spit roast me on the purchase of those items, However to my surprise; Above theres Dells prices with a promotional discount Charging; €457.55 for the Dell P2415Q Monitor ex. shipping €46.39 for the Dell AC511M Sound Bar ex. shipping Total cost from Dell for both items €503.94 ex. Shipping. Now over to a middle man LaptopsDirect for a price on the exact same items: Dell P2415Q Monitor €394.97 excluding shipping Dell AC511M Sound Bar €32.97 excluding shipping Total Cost from LaptopsDirect for both items €427.94 ex. Shipping 🤯I've saved €76.00 by purchasing both items from a third party supplier instead of purchasing directly from there manufacture i really didn't expect to find this when purchasing directly from a manufacturer. As explained in earlier post regarding saving on items by shopping around online; Further Savings were made yet again, As the plan is to have the Dell computer on the desk in there bedroom; I had already installed a CAT7 RJ45 and HDMI socket on the wall in the corner beneath the desk; which is connected to HDMI Port 3 on the television on the wall above as featured in the DIY thread here: https://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/80864-living-room-project/#comments I had a search on the Dell website to find a way of displaying the computer on to the television aswell as the computer's monitor to give the option of using either one or both screens, since I had already fitted cables to accommodate such an option and the keyboard + mouse will be wireless. I found this USB 3.0 to HDMI modulator on the Dell website selling for €66.42 Link: https://www.dell.com/en-ie/work/shop/accessories/apd/a7427214 I added the item to my saved shopping list at the time; for future purchase along with the desktop in November, I later decided to Google Search the company "C2G" in order to discover whether it was a Dell company; in doing so I found the C2G website and discovered its owned by "Legrand" whom are a huge player in the home water heating and plumbing industry, Heres a link to the exact item on the C2G website for those interested: https://www.c2g.com/uk/product/81932/usb-3.0-to-hdmi-audio-video-adapter-external-video-card I then selected "Where to By" Which brought up a list of tabs including the Dell website and also amazon website heres a screen shot I selected the amazon link and to my surprise or rather "my jaw dropping shock and aww" I found the C2G USB 3.0 to HDMI port modulator selling on amazon UK shipping directly from C2G for £15.01 😲 which at the time of purchasing converted to a cost of €19.11 shipped. Link for those interested: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00H2K6FPK/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?smid=A1NNO41UY2P7MF&psc=1 Heres a screen shot: That's a saving of €47.31 on this one item alone And a total saving of €123.31 compared to purchasing all items in the one basket directly from the Dell website. I'm honestly shocked at the savings here so much that I refrained from posting about it until the item had been delivered and I held the purchase in my hand 😅 but now that I do; I'm sharing the savings here. And here it is in reality; considerably smaller than I had expected it to be; also doesn't come with a HDMI cable which is acceptable at the Amazon price but disgraceful at the Dell price 😅 Thankfully I had also bought a HDMI cable with a 90 Degree angle end which will plug nicely in to the wall plate at the rear of the desk

Judging by the age of your car the paintwork might not be too bad but it all comes down to how the previous owner and dealer washed it. Although the defender has better off road capabilities.
