Things I Don't Like

Featured Replies

Ohhh we're in a good subject at the moment, where do I start, Weekend on Monday-Wednesday 5am to 11pm(depending on milking times I get about an hour for breakfast, lunch and tea) Thursday and Friday is 12:45 until Midnight although I've now changed the Friday night to 11pm as I can't cope on less than 4 hours sleep. Saturday is 5am until 6pm, Sunday is 3am until whenever I finish, so usually 11am. Weekend off, Monday 3am until 6pm, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday is 5am-11pm and F.O.F is 12:45 until 6pm. Get used to it eventually, Its got to the point now where I miss being at work

Although, would probably put a lot of folk out of work and drive down car prices too!

People may realise how valuable their licence actually is when the thought of it's removal becomes a reality & drive more appropriately as a result & Driving Instructors would be overloaded with work, when those who fail the retest queue up for remedial tuition in their tens of thousands . . . :)

Lower car prices are a bonus too :)

That's farming for you Matt. Don't know how you do it. Last year I helped my in laws lambing for 8 days nearly killed me working 19 hour days and they do it for 8 weeks

Well, the plan didn't work.

Awoke at 07:00 this morning feeling like death, decided that at the very least I would go into work for the morning to get the test over with and then leave early. So with that plan in mind I ran a hot bath to freshen myself up and hope that the steam would clear out my airways.

It seemed to be working for 10-15 minutes and then the sudden feeling of sickness overcame me.

Lets just say I had to call in sick (which I hate doing, especially when I have been quite well the day before as it makes it look like I'm lying) and spent the morning alternating between being hunched over the toilet, sat on the toilet and lying in bed feeling like a Black & Decker drill was boring into the left side of my head.

It was actually at a point where the pain became unbearable (which says a lot as I normally suffer severe migraines at least once a month and cope OK with them).

I can cope with sickness or a cold, but both at the same time is just taking the urine!

The headache seems to be slowly getting better, which is surprising as the painkillers I took just came straight back up.

That sound a lot like "winter vomiting bug" :( rather than just a cold

I don't like the twunt in the audi behind me this morning on the journey back from work, as we went through the speed camera he thought it would be funny to flash his lights....like A I wouldn't know the difference and B I wasn't in cruise set to the roads limit in the first place. Eedjit!

Probably. Hope to God that I feel better by Monday - cannot take another day off.

The forecasted light drizzle is anything but, light monsoon or moderate downpour would be a better description :o

It's like a river coming down my drive at the moment! The cats could go rafting on a suitable tea tray

can you video the cat on the tray please :D

I don't like the fact that nothing can ever go as planned for me. On top of losing a day's salary by calling in sick today, I will also be unable to start driving tomorrow even though I had everything in place to do so.

God knows how I'll catch up when I do get into work on Monday (if I do!?), as I was struggling as it was without missing a whole day.

There are a few words I'd like to end this with but I don't think the swear filter would take too kindly to them!

If you'll excuse me, I'm away to boil my head in a bowl of VapoRub.

I don't like how much of a pain it is to get another phone after smashing mine to smithereens....

Looking for a second hand phone, but the only ones that keep coming up are blooming iphones, and I can't really be bothered to go back to an apple...

Also don't like contacting someone 1 hour after they advertise a phone and them not getting back to me, then seeing the advert removed... It was at 11:30 pm I contacted the guy, no one got there first!!! GRRR

Also dread to think how many messages, missed calls and voicemails I'll have when I finally get back into the mobile world >.<

What happened to your old one, and was that an iCrap?

The only phone I've ever killed was my old Nokia Lumia 520 which met a watery end when I cleaned the Volvo's door pockets out with a damp cloth, and then later that day put the phone in said door pocket, which unbeknownst to me still had a puddle of water in it.

Ironically, years before that I actually managed to inadvertently "fix" an old Motorola flip phone by dropping it in a bucket of water. God knows how, but before that the camera never worked but after it being submerged and then dried out, the camera started working again... Unfortunately it didn't have the same effect on the poor Lumia

I have failed to convince either Bunty or Molly to the joys of tea tray rafting

Are you looking for a particular brand and model, or will anything do, providing it's not an i-phone?

I don't like having got out all my equipment to weed the drive and front borders, it decided to rain again, not the forecast occasional light shower: but a torrent with added wind :(

LVG out, is all I'm saying, SNOREFEST.

LVG out, is all I'm saying, SNOREFEST.

LVG?

The former german aircraft manufacturer LVG (Luftverkehrsgesellschaft m.b.H.) or the Bavarian State Office for Survey and Geoinformation (Landesamt für Vermessung und Geoinformation Bayern)?

Louis Van Gaal lol. Watching, well was, the Man Utd/Sheff Utd match. Amount of money we spent on them bunch of numpties. 47(I think) places separate us and Sheffield and we still can't beat them

I don't like going upstairs and walking into my bedroom to realise that I stripped my bed this morning...

If there is one thing I hate more than Vauxhalls, it is making a bed at 23:45.

Worse than making a bed inside a Vauxhall @ 23:45?

Guessing it's a single? Trying to get a double duvet inside the cover is worse...at any time of day!!

My 'don't like' today is running out of stuff a day early and having to visit a supermarket on a Sunday, sure that'll be fun!

I don't like coming down to kitchen to make a coffee and finding a 'present' by the washing machine in several pieces :( I believe when it was intact, it was a vole :o

Trying to get a double duvet inside it's cover with dog in the room, who thinks it's game, is always a challenge.

Sunday is never a good day for supermarket runs

Haha, yeah I don't have the dog issue currently tbf!

Oddly, the supermarket was fairly quiet and there was barely any traffic at all, was really surprised! :D

I don't like browsing Gumtree when I have no money... So many things I'd like, nothing I can afford...

I also don't like the fact that no energy suppliers have open phone lines on Sunday! It is hypocritical of me because I like the fact that I don't have to work Sunday (my job is customer service for an energy supplier), but when I'm the customer and Sunday is my only free-day it is quite irritating!

Can't you phone from work during your breaks, or is phoning other energy companies tantamount to treason?
