Things I Don't Like

Featured Replies

I don't like having a visual aura which lasted for about 50 minutes. :( During which, I couldn't focus properly nor see with any clarity :(

It has now subsided and gone, leaving me with a rather strong headache, that seems to be coming from behind my eyes.

Googling the symptoms, suggests it a migraine with aura. However, I'm not migraine sufferer! Nor is anyone in the family! :o

All migraine forums, more or less, say you 'develop' getting migraines as in your teen years: not suddenly much later in your adult life. And it tends to 'run' in families.

I wonder what triggered it? and is it/was it a migraine?

I suffer these too they are often referred to as ocular migraines. They require no family history unfortunately

I don't like that I can insure the new Focus RS for less than my current Fiesta ST

Really is this serious?

There haven't been any stolen or ditched yet.

Yep! Best to buy and insure ASAP if you intend on doing so...

I don't like calving a cow in CLEAN work wear for her to squirt blood and juice up me, couple that with poo and straw. Anybody for Spag Bol?? In the rain as well

Welcome to my world. I suffer that at least once a month and like you the aura normally comes first (sometimes accompanied by numbness down one side of my face and arm) and then the headache that feels like Sharon Stone is testing out her ice pick on my forehead.

I should be grateful though, as I used to get them WEEKLY (around 2-3 times per week in fact) when I was at my last job. Thankfully I didn't drive back then, as I would have had to abort a few trips mid-way due to the aura.

I've never had anything like that before, in some ways until the headache kicked in, it was rather surreal. I hate to think what could have happened had I been driving: rather than typing a report :o

Paracetamol hasn't made much impact on the headache. I don't have any other pain killers to hand, well oral ones.

That must very debilitating to get them that frequently :( Once is a bad enough

I don't like the fact that nobody in Scotland seems to have heard of the term "walk around" before driving!!

I swear, one in every ten vehicles we passed this evening had a blown headlamp bulb.

Yes, it happens to the best of us sometimes - we are in a rush and forget to check, or it blows whilst driving which is a situation you have no control over. But after seeing (and I counted) over 10 vehicles in a 30 minute drive with at least one bulb out, there is no excuse. Most of them were new cars as well, not your old rusty 1995 Vauxhall Corsa but 2010+ VWs, BMWs, Hyundais etc...

The way I see it headlamps should be treated like tyres. If they are defective, DON'T DRIVE. You wouldn't drive without changing a flat tyre, so don't drive without changing a blown bulb.

On the bright side (see what I did there?), all the buses we passed had bothered to turn their lights on, unlike last night where a full-size Stagecoach drove past with only the parking lights illuminated.

They do that down here in Dorset , car abuse/neglect of basics like blown headlights or missing brake lights (often the offside! :o :o ) seems to go hand in hand with newer executive cars!

I've also encountered an Audi being driven along A31 with flat tyre, even if it occurred on route, he'd feel it through the steering and the handling, added to which his TPM would be going off!

Is the new RS in a higher 'safety' Euro bracket than your current Fiesta ST?

Has calving started already? Or was she early?

Well that's the thing, plus when I get them I don't realise straight away, until I think "hang on, why is is there a blank spot in the centre of my vision!?".

As I say, fortunately I don't get them as often now and they are not as severe as they used to be (which is strange as I am ten times more stressed now than I was back then).

GMX we're all year round calving. A bloke near me called Roly has 1000 spring calving cows. But all year round calving is the most common, unless you have these grazing boys who are mostly spring calving. Easier all year round calving

Not sure about that it is in group 40a

Still a cracking deal. I did a finance quote and could pay less per month than I am now as well

Why is it all falling into place so easily? Please ford stop this temptation

With the finance quote thing, I've noticed on here on the main thread bit, I can get a Focus St for as low as £104 a month, yet a Fiesta St is something like £170. To tempting I'll have to admit

Not sure I like the affects of my new diet, the oat granola is certainly doing a good job

I don't like what I saw on Monday evening coming home from work...

And they say public transport is safer... Putting your life in the hands of drivers like that!? No thanks!

I don't like the fact the 'budget' battery that was in Focus when I bought it, decided to die at 4:15pm; meaning I can't have guaranteed next day delivery tomorrow, for it's replacement :(

Why couldn't it have died this morning? or anytime up until 3:59pm. 4pm is the deadline for guaranteed next day delivery. I've got to wait until Friday now.

That'll teach me for not replacing it, immediately after buying the Focus

Yep, I never trust budget batteries. The Nissan has one and that's the reason I always have my booster pack charged up and ready just in case it should die.

Has it gone completely, or just dipped below the level required to start efficiently?

I fitted an S4 to our old 1998 Rover 216 and it was absolutely fantastic. The car never sounded so healthy!! It even ended up sitting on the driveway for almost 4 weeks (locked with the alarm system active, which was well known for draining batteries in the 200s) and fired up like it had only been running yesterday when we needed to move it.

I love the battery, replaced the in laws with one yesterday, its working sweet as a nut. The price as well is awesome. Especially with our FOC discount

S4 be sufficient then, I was looking at the S5

I'd say the S4 should be OK, but in the long run (and being a diesel) you'd be safer with the S5.

The placing of it on your windscreen, makes it look like the birds also want you to think that Renault vans should be viewed through poo

S4 does perfect for my Mondeo. The only thing letting her down at the moment is her glow plugs, but that's for a 1.8 diesel.

S5 is more powerful there is no doubting it, but for 30 quid less you get all the power you need

If S4 is perfect for a Mondeo 1,8TDCi it'll be perfect for my lighter 1.8TDCi Focus :)
