Things I Don't Like

Featured Replies

Any plates that get left on the table are usually cleaned by the dog  when we're not watching, naughty little :censored: . Go's and sulks in his bed if he gets caught. He does however do a good job, same for if Ash decides he doesn't like his dinner and launches it, in comes Casper and hoovers it all up. Saves on Dettol ha. Who needs a dishwasher or hoover when you have a hyper & greedy cocker spaniel

Brandy's less inclined to hoover than she used to be. But she still position herself next to guest, she's decided is more likely to produce spillage

I prefer Ajax myself, but both are great cleaners and the best in my opinion. You can still buy them, but they are getting rare in UK shops.

In which UK shops?

The gale has got going again, and it's still 13°C

There were three loo sessions, between 2-2:30am, each one more urgent than it's predecessor. After an interlude of around an hour, a final trip to the throne occured: and that was that. :)

Instant weight loss :D

My don't like for the night...

Friend of mine had an accident 10 days ago - head on collision with a dark coloured car with no lights on suspected to be exceeding the speed limit. He had a customer in the car too (taxi driver - but I don't hold it against him - he is a nice guy, and it is a 62 plate Mondeo).

Anywhoo, both fine other than slight bruising. Car on the other hand...write off (Cat C)...had the confirmation last Wednesday (Assessor came out, took one look at it and said he did a good job lol).

So last night he asks me to help him whip the towbar off and drain the tank, as the car is being recovered Thursday. Today, we were all out (me, Mother, him and his wife) - so didn't get around to it until it was dark.

Towbar was easy - 15 minutes.

Fuel, only had a pipe with which to syphon (not effective, couldn't get the car high enough to get a good drop on the pipe).

Anywhoo...my really big dislike...beyond his lack of organisation...I got a gob full of diesel.

If anyone is interested, road Diesel (F53 under NATO) tastes more like AVCAT (F76) than Marine Diesel (F44).

I got mine from Poundland, I think... It was a while ago now.

You can get both Vim and Ajax from the internet, just type them in eBay. Granted you will have to pay more for postage but for a serious fan of the product (such as myself) it is worth it.

We are getting some winds here in Scotland too, but it's a bit colder than 13*C!!

I dare say bulk purchasing would mitigate for the postage, anyway.

The temperature has dropped a whole degree, it's now 12°C on the garage wall

It's been on impossible to get hold of anyone today! :o It was bad earlier in the week, but today everyone wasn't in their office, nor could their assisant say when they might return :o or even when a message might be conveyed :o

It might have better in hindsight, to have taken the week off, very little has been achieved this week :(

I don't like buying two bottles of what I thought was coffee cream liqueur only to find it lacked cream and is a bitter coffee liqueur.

Oddly enough, when I went into the garage, to put today's bread purchases in the freezer and then get a couple of bottles of port, I found two bottles of coffee liqueur which I don't remember purchasing, lurking on the sherry and port shelf!

It isn't to my taste, but I'll use it in baking to put in cakes etc...

the wife keeps nagging me to do the staircase walls /ceiling and woodwork ive told her I did it 10 years ago , and its o.k ,her reply is looks grabby so I tell her going up stairs too keep the light off ,and it will look o.k not spook to me since why what did I say wrong

I HATE people who are idiotic and cannot keep things to themselves.

I don't like that half the numbers I've got for mates, I've not seen in a while, are now invalid and their landlines are unlisted

That's one of the benefits to Facebook I suppose... Doesn't make it worthwhile for me though - mainly because I have no friends!

You don't need friends for facebook lol... It's ideal for stalking people you went to school/college/work with though! But depressing to see how much they've progressed since school compared to yourself... :s

I'm not on Facebook, Twitter etc.

You've got your FOC friends :P

Indeed it is. I'm not afraid to admit that I've created a "fake" Facebook account purely for that purpose under a pseudonym, and it is very depressing indeed to see how some of my peers have progressed...

Trying to dissuade a friend who wants to buy a Chevrolet Cruise....*sigh*

I don't have Facebook.... Grin merry Christmas

I don't like drinking too much port last night....

Nothing says Merry Christmas like the feeling that a fresh pair of underwear could be rendered unsalvageable at any moment...

Haha, after what I've eaten today I don't think I'll be leaving the bathroom much tomorrow!!

The entire box of dates and punnet of figs I ate earlier, don't seem to be having a similar anticipated effect. The apple eating incident of earlier in the week, must have built up my tolerance to high fibre

Lol, it'll come when you least expect it! :P

I don't like vague storage instructions... Orange trifle just says 'consume by use by date'...doesn't mention if that includes being opened, or if you've got 24hrs after opening like most cream stuff...or if I'll die from eating it the next day...

I've just eaten more cheese than I meant to

Even Brandy has decided she's reached her consumption limit, and has left one of her chickens in the hall

The wind is getting up now: yet it is still 13°C outside

Normal cheese or Christmas cheese? For some reason I bought stilton with apricots and wensleydale with cranberries...

Myself included. Moved far too frequently, and keep losing track of old friends. Also one of the youngest at my workplace, so everyone is married, own a house etc... Not that many I can relate to.

Normal extra mature cheddar, I quite like novelty xmas cheeses with fruit in :)

Brandy's chicken remain in the hall  I almost trod on it, in the dark, on the way to the loo
