Didn't get much time to watch Grand Tour so that will have to wait for another time/trial. I'm waiting till I can get access again to Netflix. My cousin's friend hasn't messaged him the new password to the account for a while so just been on prime. Jason X was a good film which I managed to see yesterday night. Lenny
I do like saving €100 by stripping the material off my two old mattresses Over here in Ireland the government recycle centres want €50 to take your old mattresses, However they take scrap metal and pay you for it depending on weight, And our domestic waste wheelie bin which we pay a monthly bill for; will take the material off the mattress's Only took me 50 minutes to strip them with a Stanley knife and saved €100 on disposal costs 🙆♂️ Scrap metal Also like finishing the new bunk beds today complete with the worlds most expensive matching shelf at €50
zain611
@Lenny bed looks good and matches the room colour. I've been so used to a double bed that I don't think I can ever go to single 😂

I'd be surprised if you even get a fiver for the two! £50 a mattress seems a lot for disposal though, I think they're still free to dump over here but it's been about 5 years since I last dumped one now. We have to pay to dump other things though, hardcore and rubble mainly. And the dumps no longer accept things like tyres, plasterboard and paint which just leads to fly tipping. 11 hours ago, zain611 said: @Lenny bed looks good and matches the room colour. I can't wait to go back to a single myself! 1

I could drive 20 minutes to the scrap yard but as you've said mate; it's not worth the Diesel I'll be bringing it to the local recycling centre which accept scrap metal but dont pay you anything atall for it, The local tyre places take old tyres and pass them on to silage farmers; they can also be shredded for use as rubber chippings in playgrounds but I dont know how they separate the wires from the rubber, Not sure about hardcore and plasterboard; I had a small amount of plasterboard but I wet it and folded in to domestic waste bin. 3 hours ago, TomsFocus said: I'm the opposite lol, hate having a double bed...feel lost in it and feel like it's a long way to drag myself across to the edge, especially when getting up for a wee during the night. We have a king sized bed in our room its equivalent size to two single side by side; its ideal for whenever theres a disagreement as we can sleep without making contact atall 😅
Lenny
Our son is doing great now without nappies, Hes almost fully toilet trained; just trying to teach him how to pee standing up, We told him the fairy's take his nappies and in exchange gave him a chart with stickers; when the chart is full then the fairy's collect it and leave a toy of his choice. All good it would seem but eh no 😅 it was a bit difficult in the end, He watches Jack Jack play on YouTube; And theres a matchbox rescue boat with a shark that Jack features and reviews on a video. Our son wants that rescue boat, Cant be got in Europe; so I've purchased from America; it's on it's way from Brooklyn as we speak. 😅 Things we do for kids and they wont even know the effort it took until there in there twenty's £113.82 for the boat £54.89 for the shipping 🤯 The look on his face though and the fun 🙉 priceless

iantt
I do hate diesels. Lol unfortunately the alternative is no better, 1.5 ecoboost! They guzzle the fuel in a Mondeo or Kuga. At least ***** the 2.0 and not the 1.5 tdci. The 2.0 I can bluefin from 150 hp to 200hp . And £20 tax still like my focus.

Lenny
I do like being home again; having spent the past two evenings after working 7-3 driving 134 miles round trips to IKEA bringing home 28 pieces for a PAX built in floor to ceiling wardrobe for the kids room. Yesterday was with the family to design it the contents; we picked up all the small items and drawers from the warehouse; Then today I went up with one of my daughters to collect the wardrobe sections and doors 48kg and 45kg cabinets then four door panels at 236cm excluding packaging; the boxs stuck out a bit ☺ almost required two trolleys to move the boxs. Back on the road again tomorrow though for another 260 mile round trip to see my mother as we were supposed to visit last Sunday and the Sunday before that but haven't; So I'll be starting to build the wardrobe on Monday morning, I'm glad this sourcing of all items is now complete; as IKEA warehouse was quite busy making it difficult to navigate. Also saw edd Sheeran working in IKEA 1
Eric Bloodaxe
I do like some of the comments on spoiled ballot papers from the local elections this week. In particular, one which read something like: "I'd rather pooh in my hands and clap than vote for any of the above".😀
