Thanks a lot for this. I noticed the same. Someone hinted with a photo on where to look from the side, but I can't find that post anymore. I taped somerhing on the lid and now the light is off when the lid is closed. I'm curious if this will solve the problem.

There are large files it needs to download, so it will take some time.

If you can connect to wifi or even park near a Vodafone Mast for a while, that will help.

Thanks for the information.  It looks like I will have to be patient.

I found the picture. It was shared by someone in a private Facebook group. If you peek through the slot marked on the left picture, you can see the light is still on (or not). This is a simpler check than unmounting the glove box.

Or you can set video to record on your mobile and then close the glove box to see if light went off, when u watch video back.

In my case it helped to save battery for few more days while car is not in use.

So far no issues with latest prio update noticed.

Wouldn’t the light go off anyway after locking the car 🤔

I expect so, but its additional drain till it goes off - its a bit like comfort lights - aka please drain my battery unnecessarily

first four things I did within 20 seconds when I first got this car...

turn off day time joke headlights - (its just wasting planetary resources - THE IDEA DOES NOTHING, the issue is they don't bother looking !!!)
turn off comfort flatten my battery headlights - (they flatten the battery for nothing)
turn off the joke of tilt my mirror in reverse - (so I can still see when when reversing on a slope)
turn off folding mirrors - (its only to sell more new ones)
if it had it - I would always disable Start Stop destroy my cam drive (its only there to sell more cars)

@Daz-UK i dont know why but my carplay after this update is so laggy. i try to disconnect and ri-connect my phone but the problem is not resolved... i use wirless carplay...

should I try connecting it with the cable first?

Still no update for me, on Portugal. Not sure if its the battery, but it still did not pop, only showing the 6.4.0

Same for me, 2023 ST, UK, and battery is >= 75%...

I’m stuck on 6.2.0 😢 last week the dealer change my battery under warranty (Soc=50%😁, now 97%) i’m from Italy

Is that when the right mirror goes down so you can see the pavement? Does the Focus do that?

In the UK it is the left mirror (on vehicles that have that feature)

Only very few of them. You need to have electric seats with the memory position module.

That’s really strange m

Is it laggy in every app or everything.

the only lag I’ve noticed is on Google maps with it displaying it fully with all detail and not just the basic maps.

is the rest of the system smooth?

Hopefully now the system will resend the updates for you.

È davvero strano m

È lento in ogni app o in tutto.

l'unico ritardo che ho notato è su Google Maps con la visualizzazione completa con tutti i dettagli e non solo le mappe di base.

Il resto del sistema è liscio?

only carplay is laggy

- Just found out rather than an hour fighting silly menus to disable - On a BMW the left right adjuster switch, when in the passenger position turns it off

Still no update for me. Battery is fully charged. Drove 200 miles last weekend...

in my case, the battery it's low and the car doesn't want to install the upgrade, don't think I'll ever see this upgrade since I'm only making short trips(5-10km)

No update for me either, still on 4.2.1

I followed advice on this forum and used Forscan to increase the Battery SoC Target from 80% to 95%. Then I went for a 2 hr drive (mostly motorway), and the battery only charged from 61% to 75% in that whole time. How on earth is someone supposed to get it to 95% without using an external charger?

You don't !!

You need to charge the battery with an external charger and get it to 100% This could take up to 48 hours of constantly charging it.

Then when the battery is 'full' the car will do it's best to maintain the charge at around 95% but in reality it will still loose the battle over the coming weeks and gradually the SOC will fall below 80% Putting it simply the charging system on modern vehicles is totally @#$? and not fit for purpose.

Changing the vehicles SOC from 80% up to 95% simply gives you a bit longer time between needing to recharge. Just think of it as practice for when you get your EV 🤣

Not all modern vehicles - just Fords. :whistling:

You might initially think that, but there are plenty of similar charging problems on the Toyota, Jaguar, Vauxhall forums. It's all about saving the dolphins and keeping Greta happy 🤣
